Ozproperty Investment 88 Presents: SRACP Charity Drama – Detention

“Ozproperty Investment 88 Presents: SRACP Charity Drama – Detention” was successfully staged and received with tremendous enthusiasm on 29 and 31 August, 2014 respectively at Shouson Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Centre. The net amount HK$737,812.70 raised would be used for SRACP’s development of Crime Prevention Service. SRACP’s Vice Patron, Chairman, Vice Chairlady and committee members injected new elements into the acclaimed comedy and went on stage for charity. Their performance showed how a CEO of listed company, impartial and selfless Justice, serious lawyers, and school principal transformed into extraordinary thieves, mischievous principal and talented janitors, revealing their humour and rarely-known sides to the audience.

Students who are given detention are usually labelled as trouble makers and having low learning motivation. Similar to these students, ex-offenders often receive strong prejudice and negative social labelling, their efforts to become a good person are often being neglected. Through the charity drama, SRACP hopes to promote the idea of caring for the ex-offenders to the general public: the detained students have their own talents, so as the ex-offenders. When we take away our prejudice and give them chances, they can be able to bring their talents into full play.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, especially the title sponsor Ozproperty Investment 88 Limited, and audience for their warm and generous support, Director Tang Shu-wing for his patient guidance and the professional actors from Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio for their amusing and energetic performance.
