Love Delivery Under COVID-19

Service overview

Before the outbreak of COVID-19, 24-hour chained fast food restaurants are “shelters” for street sleepers or homeless people. However, amid the coronavirus, fast food restaurants have adjusted their operation time, which forced homeless or street sleepers to face undesirable health and safety situations without available assistance.

Funded by Jockey Club “COVID-19 Emergency Fund”, The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong (SRACP) launches “Love Delivery Under COVID-19” at two service units in Kowloon West by taking 60-seat coaches to designated spots, outreaching teams approaching homeless / street sleepers to provide appropriate assistance.

Project objective
  • To provide timely care and support to street sleepers in time of hardship.
  • To deliver masks and anti-epidemic products to street sleepers in need.
  • To provide temporary rest area (limited amount of users), with hot drinks, food, and phone charging service.
  • To convey users to shower facilities for personal hygiene
