Sracpology is a research bulletin with a threefold purpose: to build and disseminate local knowledge and wisdom; to promote evidence-based practice and social impact assessment on frontline practices; and to create a platform for sharing, cross-fertilisation and stimulation among various stakeholders of crime prevention and rehabilitation of marginalised persons in Hong Kong.
For this year, the fourth issue of Sracpology focuses on the topic of "New Era, Blossom". Prof. Victor Wong (Professor, Department of Social Work, Hong Kong Baptist University), Dr. Sharon Leung (Former Director, Centre for Youth Research & Practice, Hong Kong Baptist University) and Mr. Ted Kwan (Chairman of Fullness Christian Social Enterprise Ltd.) were invited to share their spectacular point of view. This issue would lead readers towards the youth’s world through the perspectives of social practices and research studies. It is rich with articles covering various topics, the highlights are as follows:
Managing shame: The lived experience of young people struggling with drug problems
Social service in new era: Engaging new generation virtually
Embrace your future of possibilities: Fostering sustainable ecosystem-based navigation-oriented CLD service for non-engaged youths (CLAP @JC Phase II)
We hope that readers can realize the growth and development of our youth in Hong Kong from different perspectives, as well as their daily challenges, so as to understand the needs of their rehabilitation support, and the importance of preventing them from committing crimes.
