With the funding support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Society kicked off the re-development project of Shau Kei Wan House (SKWH) in 2018 to enhance the living environment of SKWH as well as to maximize the land benefit of this site. The Project is named the 'Jockey Club "Craft Your Life Together" Co-living Community Project’ (JCCCP) whilst the prospective new building will be named the 'Jockey Club Key House'. This building will offer more than 140 places, in which 42 places are the original capacity of the SKWH whilst the rest of places will be designated for the youths with accommodation needs in the community.

In paving the way for the re-development project, all person-in-recovery of the SKWH were decanted to the Chun Shek Halfway House and Sunrise House (halfway house) of the Society respectively at the end of October 2019. With the approval of the Social Welfare Department, a total of 32 temporary places have been added through in-situ expansion within our 3 existing halfway houses to fill the service needs during the redevelopment period.
